**From Loose Ends to a Reconciled Administration for International Payments**

As a software company with international subscriptions such as GitHub, Docker, and others, we regularly process payments in different currencies. What may seem simple on paper can, in practice, lead to recurring administrative adjustments.

For us, it wasn’t about saving a few hours of work, but about preventing frustration, reducing manual effort, and structurally avoiding unnecessary conversion costs.

**The Problem: Currency Differences and Manual Reconciliation**

Previously, all our payments, including those in US dollars, were automatically debited from our euro account. This regularly resulted in currency differences. The amount debited from the bank almost never matched the amount on the dollar invoice exactly, partly due to transaction fees. Even with a correct exchange rate, the debited amount can differ slightly as a result.

This meant that in Exact Online we had to manually match purchase invoices to the correct payments. In addition, the supplier was not always automatically recognized, which meant we had to manually link each payment to the correct creditor. As a result, this process became a recurring task that distracted us from other work.

On top of that, we discovered that exchange rate markups can range from 1.5% to as much as 3% on currency conversions, meaning we were also paying additional costs on every conversion.

**The Solution: Wise**

With Wise, we now work with both a euro account and a dollar account, connected to a single digital credit card. The major advantage is that payments are automatically debited from the correct account:

Dollar payments → Dollar account
Euro payments → Euro account
This eliminates unnecessary conversions and therefore prevents unexpected currency differences. You only pay conversion fees once when converting funds between accounts. Over time, this helps avoid unnecessary costs.

**The Result: Clarity and Control**

Combined with our Exchange Rates app, we now record dollar invoices directly using the correct exchange rate. The amounts on the invoice and the bank debit match neatly again.

This ensures that the administration is automatically correct, instead of needing corrections afterward.

**Want to Save Time Too?**

Are you also experiencing currency-related issues with international payments and looking for an administration that reconciles automatically while avoiding unnecessary costs?

With our [Wise Connector](https://www.denovit.nl/exact-online-wise) and Exchange Rates app, we’re happy to help you implement this process. Feel free to contact us for more information.

**Update: Our Chargebee Connector Now Includes a HubSpot Integration**

With our new integration, key subscription data from Chargebee is automatically visible in HubSpot, ensuring that teams are always fully informed without switching between systems. This allows employees to respond to customer inquiries faster and more effectively, with all relevant data directly available on the customer record in HubSpot.

When is this update relevant for you?
- You manage subscriptions in Chargebee, but your team works in HubSpot daily.
- Your subscriptions are created by the backend system.
- You want your team to communicate effectively with customers without switching between HubSpot and Chargebee.

Chargebee itself offers a direct HubSpot integration, enabling data import from Chargebee into HubSpot. However, this integration does not always work in every situation. That’s why we developed this new update.

We’ve created a connection between Chargebee and HubSpot, giving you easy access to subscription statuses. This means employees no longer need to switch software or log in separately—they can view subscription data directly in HubSpot. With our update, subscription data such as Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), status information, and subscription details are automatically synchronized to the customer record in HubSpot. This ensures that employees working in HubSpot always have the most up-to-date and complete information on a customer’s subscription, allowing them to communicate more effectively.

Key benefits of this update:
- Your customer information is always up to date.
- Work efficiently from a single system.
- Better customer interactions with a complete view of subscription details.

- We hope this update provides all the information you need. Do you still have questions? Feel free to contact us!

At the end of August, the long-awaited arrival of MConnect 2.0 is a fact!

In this improved version of MConnect you can choose to import a Mollie invoice into Exact Online and then immediately make a purchase entry. This means you no longer have to manually download and enter a Mollie invoice. If you do this regularly, this update will save you a lot of time!

On request, we have also developed a function that processes Payt payments correctly(er). This functionality offers the possibility to process multiple invoices per mollie payment. This functionality can also handle a mollie payment containing a collection process.

Some users like to handle refunds in Mollie. The advantage of this is that their customers will immediately receive the refund back to the correct bank account. It is configurable that MConnect will then create a credit invoice in Exact Online with the correct VAT rate so that all bookings are also processed in Exact Online.

The processing of chargebacks will also be configurable. So if there is a chargeback, it will be processed correctly in Exact Online! This will open the corresponding invoice again. The debtors are also correct in Exact Online again.

- IMConnect 2.0 offers the options:
- Automatic matching of mollie transactions;
- Automatic entry of the Mollie invoice (adjustable);
- Create and enter an invoice based on a mollie payment (adjustable);
- Automatically enter a credit invoice for a refund, with the correct VAT rate (adjustable);
- Chargeback are correctly processed in Exact Online (configurable);
- Payt users can choose to automatically book a collection process and then reconcile it (configurable);
- Multiple invoices per mollie transaction possible;
